WASHINGTON D.C.(WJHL)- There’s a new call for the federal government to take action after safety concerns connected to a specific guardrail end terminal.įriday, United States Senators Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander (R-Tennessee) sent a letter to the Federal Highway Administration. The X-Lite guardrail end terminal was designed to protect people, with rails that telescope inwards, absorbing the energy of a colliding vehicle. Seven deaths in Tennessee, Missouri, and Virginia have been reportedly linked to X-LITE guardrails.
